Privacy Policy
Draft for legal review before public launch. It describes how Marcha works today.
What we store
Your account email, the display name and general area you give us, your listings and photos, the messages you send about a Marcha, your proposals and exchange records, any reports or support cases you raise, and verification details you choose to submit.
What we never store
Card details. Payments are handled by a payment provider, and Marcha never sees or keeps card numbers.
Who can see your details
Other members see your first name, general area, member since date, verification status, completed Marchas and ratings. Your phone number and contact email stay private and are only shared with one other member when you both agree to swap contact details for a Marcha you are doing together.
Messages
Messages are private between the two members in a Marcha. The Marcha team can review a conversation only when it is part of a report or support case.
Analytics
We record that actions happen — a listing posted, a proposal sent, a Marcha completed — so we can see whether Marcha is working. We do not record message contents or payment details in analytics.
Keeping and deleting data
Exchange, report and support records are kept as history, because both members may need them later. Ask us and we will explain what is held about you and remove what we are able to remove.
Where your data is held
Marcha runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Your data is stored by our hosting and database provider on our behalf.
